At the Treasury bill auction dated 5 September 2002, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 7.14% (down 1 basis point). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled EGP 2.2bn against EGP 2.0bn on offer, 110% of the amount sought, and EGP 2.0bn was accepted.
At 7.14%, the 91-day rate is the lowest in the 10 auctions of the past year.
