At the Treasury bill auction dated 30 July 2002, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 7.62% (down 1 basis point). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 1.4bn against EGP 800m on offer, 174% of the amount sought, and EGP 821m was accepted.
