Zambia T-bill auction, 6 May 2021: 364-day at 25.75%, unchanged

At the Treasury bill auction dated 6 May 2021, the Bank of Zambia cleared the 91-day bill at 14.03% (unchanged), the 182-day bill at 16.03% (unchanged) and the 364-day bill at 25.75% (unchanged). The rate shown is the cut-off yield rate at the auction.

The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled ZMW 1.5bn against ZMW 1.1bn on offer, 129% of the amount sought, and ZMW 1.5bn was accepted.

At 25.75%, the 364-day rate is the highest in the 20 auctions of the past year.
