Mozambique T-bill auction, 30 September 2026: 364-day at 12.09%, unchanged
At the Treasury bill auction dated 30 September 2026, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 91-day bill at 12.15% (unchanged), the 182-day bill at 12.15% (down 1 basis point) and the 364-day bill at 12.09% (unchanged). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled MZN 4.4bn against MZN 4.1bn on offer, 107% of the amount sought, and MZN 4.4bn was accepted.
At 12.09%, the 364-day rate is the lowest in the 51 auctions of the past year.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 12.41%, so the government is paying 32 basis points less than twelve months ago.
