Mozambique T-bill auction, 29 April 2026: 364-day at 12.26%, unchanged
At the Treasury bill auction dated 29 April 2026, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 91-day bill at 12.15% (down 4 basis points), the 182-day bill at 12.20% (unchanged) and the 364-day bill at 12.26% (unchanged). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled MZN 4.7bn against MZN 4.9bn on offer, 96% of the amount sought, and MZN 4.7bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 12.15% to 13.18%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 13.18%, so the government is paying 92 basis points less than twelve months ago.
