Mozambique T-bill auction, 11 February 2026: 364-day at 12.22%, unchanged
At the Treasury bill auction dated 11 February 2026, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 91-day bill at 12.04% (up 2 basis points), the 182-day bill at 12.10% (unchanged) and the 364-day bill at 12.22% (unchanged). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled MZN 7.9bn against MZN 8.4bn on offer, 95% of the amount sought, and MZN 7.9bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 12.15% to 13.69%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 13.25%, so the government is paying 103 basis points less than twelve months ago.
