Mozambique T-bill auction, 13 January 2026: 182-day at 12.10%, unchanged
At the Treasury bill auction dated 13 January 2026, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 182-day bill at 12.10% (unchanged). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled MZN 1.3bn against MZN 1.4bn on offer, 89% of the amount sought, and MZN 1.3bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 182-day rate has ranged from 11.93% to 13.64%.
A year earlier the 182-day bill cleared at 13.60%, so the government is paying 150 basis points less than twelve months ago.
