Mozambique T-bill auction, 5 September 2016: 91-day at 17.24%, up 23 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 5 September 2016, the Banco de Moçambique cleared the 91-day bill at 17.24% (up 23 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average subscription rate.
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled MZN 2.0bn against MZN 5.0bn on offer, 40% of the amount sought, and MZN 2.0bn was accepted.
At 17.24%, the 91-day rate is the highest in the 11 auctions of the past year.
