Malawi T-bill auction, 3 November 2015: 91-day at 19.52%, up 32 bps

At the Treasury bill auction dated 3 November 2015, the Reserve Bank of Malawi cleared the 91-day bill at 19.52% (up 32 basis points). The rate shown is the average yield of allotted bids.

Bids totalled MWK 597m and MWK 357m was accepted, 60% of what was bid.

Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 19.20% to 26.94%.

A year earlier the 91-day bill cleared at 19.94%, so the government is paying 42 basis points less than twelve months ago.
