At the Treasury bill auction dated 24 February 2015, the Reserve Bank of Malawi cleared the 182-day bill at 26.47% (down 53 basis points). The rate shown is the average yield of allotted bids.

Bids totalled MWK 8.6bn and MWK 8.6bn was accepted, 100% of what was bid.

Over the past year the 182-day rate has ranged from 12.42% to 27.00%.

A year earlier the 182-day bill cleared at 30.98%, so the government is paying 451 basis points less than twelve months ago.
