At the Treasury bill auction dated 29 October 2013, the Reserve Bank of Malawi cleared the 182-day bill at 25.82% (up 124 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 26.56% (up 6 basis points). The rate shown is the average yield of allotted bids.
Bids totalled MWK 1.9bn and MWK 1.6bn was accepted, 84% of what was bid.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 20.33% to 35.87%.
