Ghana T-bill auction, 27 January 2025: 364-day at 30.41%, up 12 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 27 January 2025, the Bank of Ghana cleared the 91-day bill at 28.52% (up 10 basis points), the 182-day bill at 29.07% (up 10 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 30.41% (up 12 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average interest-rate equivalent.
Bids totalled GHS 8.9bn and GHS 8.2bn was accepted, 92% of what was bid.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 27.79% to 31.40%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 32.00%, so the government is paying 159 basis points less than twelve months ago.
