Ghana T-bill auction, 7 February 2022: 91-day at 12.66%, up 14 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 7 February 2022, the Bank of Ghana cleared the 91-day bill at 12.66% (up 14 basis points) and the 182-day bill at 13.23% (up 4 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average interest-rate equivalent.
Bids totalled GHS 1.3bn and GHS 1.3bn was accepted, 100% of what was bid.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 12.42% to 13.27%.
A year earlier the 91-day bill cleared at 14.06%, so the government is paying 139 basis points less than twelve months ago.
