Ghana T-bill auction, 3 May 2021: 91-day at 12.84%, up 6 bps

At the Treasury bill auction dated 3 May 2021, the Bank of Ghana cleared the 91-day bill at 12.84% (up 6 basis points) and the 182-day bill at 13.53% (down 5 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average interest-rate equivalent.

Bids totalled GHS 573m and GHS 573m was accepted, 100% of what was bid.

Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 12.78% to 14.10%.

A year earlier the 91-day bill cleared at 14.03%, so the government is paying 119 basis points less than twelve months ago.
