At the Treasury bill auction dated 30 November 2020, the Bank of Ghana cleared the 91-day bill at 14.07% (up 1 basis point), the 182-day bill at 14.14% (up 1 basis point) and the 364-day bill at 16.97% (unchanged). The rate shown is the weighted average interest-rate equivalent.
Bids totalled GHS 915m and GHS 915m was accepted, 100% of what was bid.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 16.70% to 17.90%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 17.91%, so the government is paying 94 basis points less than twelve months ago.
