Egypt T-bill auction, 14 July 2026: 364-day at 24.84%, up 13 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 14 July 2026, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 24.40% (up 17 basis points), the 182-day bill at 25.20% (up 27 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 24.84% (up 13 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 313.2bn against EGP 160.0bn on offer, 196% of the amount sought, and EGP 135.1bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 22.78% to 26.19%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 25.04%, so the government is paying 20 basis points less than twelve months ago.
