Egypt T-bill auction, 28 April 2026: 364-day at 23.34%, up 4 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 28 April 2026, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 23.64% (up 55 basis points), the 182-day bill at 24.29% (up 35 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 23.34% (up 4 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 271.4bn against EGP 155.0bn on offer, 175% of the amount sought, and EGP 56.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 22.78% to 26.19%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 24.91%, so the government is paying 157 basis points less than twelve months ago.
