Egypt T-bill auction, 28 October 2025: 364-day at 25.61%, up 2 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 28 October 2025, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 26.86% (up 7 basis points), the 182-day bill at 26.72% (up 4 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 25.61% (up 2 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 344.4bn against EGP 125.0bn on offer, 276% of the amount sought, and EGP 135.7bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 24.45% to 26.24%.
A year earlier the 364-day bill cleared at 26.24%, so the government is paying 63 basis points less than twelve months ago.
