Egypt T-bill auction, 14 December 2004: 364-day at 10.96%, down 25 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 14 December 2004, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 9.97% (down 14 basis points), the 182-day bill at 10.24% (down 29 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 10.96% (down 25 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 8.8bn against EGP 3.1bn on offer, 283% of the amount sought, and EGP 3.1bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 10.47% to 12.39%.
