Egypt T-bill auction, 16 November 2004: 364-day at 11.51%, down 54 bps

At the Treasury bill auction dated 16 November 2004, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 364-day bill at 11.51% (down 54 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.

Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 2.5bn against EGP 500m on offer, 505% of the amount sought, and EGP 500m was accepted.

Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 10.47% to 12.39%.
