Egypt T-bill auction, 7 September 2004: 364-day at 11.95%, down 26 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 7 September 2004, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 10.73% (down 20 basis points), the 182-day bill at 11.22% (down 18 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 11.95% (down 26 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 9.3bn against EGP 3.5bn on offer, 265% of the amount sought, and EGP 3.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 364-day rate has ranged from 10.47% to 12.39%.
