At the Treasury bill auction dated 15 May 2003, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 11.50% (down 104 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 946m against EGP 300m on offer, 315% of the amount sought, and EGP 21m was accepted.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 4.60% to 13.59%.
