At the Treasury bill auction dated 6 May 2003, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 12.14% (up 7 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled EGP 2.1bn against EGP 1.5bn on offer, 142% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.5bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 182-day rate has ranged from 5.24% to 14.35%.
