At the Treasury bill auction dated 24 April 2003, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 12.29% (down 9 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled EGP 1.1bn against EGP 900m on offer, 121% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.1bn was accepted.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 4.60% to 13.59%.
