At the Treasury bill auction dated 14 November 2002, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 91-day bill at 6.47% (down 16 basis points). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.
Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 4.0bn against EGP 1.5bn on offer, 264% of the amount sought, and EGP 1.5bn was accepted.
At 6.47%, the 91-day rate is the lowest in the 19 auctions of the past year.
