Egypt T-bill auction, 6 August 2002: 182-day at 7.62%, down 1 bps

At the Treasury bill auction dated 6 August 2002, the Central Bank of Egypt cleared the 182-day bill at 7.62% (down 1 basis point). The rate shown is the weighted average yield of accepted bids.

Demand was strong: bids totalled EGP 920m against EGP 500m on offer, 184% of the amount sought, and EGP 800m was accepted.
