Kenya T-bill auction, 6 October 2025: 91-day at 7.924%, up 1 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 6 October 2025, the Central Bank of Kenya cleared the 91-day bill at 7.924% (up 1 basis point), the 182-day bill at 7.985% (unchanged) and the 364-day bill at 9.541% (up 1 basis point).
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled KES 15.1bn against KES 24.0bn on offer, a subscription rate of 63%. The government accepted KES 15.1bn, or 100% of what was bid.
The 364-day paper drew the most interest relative to its size, at 74% subscribed.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 7.914% to 14.990%.
