Kenya T-bill auction, 26 March 2018: 91-day at 8.005%, down 2 bps
At the Treasury bill auction dated 26 March 2018, the Central Bank of Kenya cleared the 91-day bill at 8.005% (down 2 basis points), the 182-day bill at 10.385% (down 2 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 11.126% (unchanged).
The auction was fully subscribed: bids totalled KES 27.4bn against KES 24.0bn on offer, a subscription rate of 114%. The government accepted KES 22.9bn, or 84% of what was bid.
The 364-day paper drew the most interest relative to its size, at 174% subscribed.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 8.001% to 8.779%.
