Kenya T-bill auction, 6 November 2017: 91-day at 8.015%, unchanged
At the Treasury bill auction dated 6 November 2017, the Central Bank of Kenya cleared the 91-day bill at 8.015% (unchanged), the 182-day bill at 10.433% (up 4 basis points) and the 364-day bill at 10.995% (up 1 basis point).
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled KES 16.7bn against KES 24.0bn on offer, a subscription rate of 70%. The government accepted KES 16.0bn, or 95% of what was bid.
The 91-day paper drew the most interest relative to its size, at 109% subscribed.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 8.011% to 8.779%.
