Kenya T-bill auction, 18 September 2017: 91-day at 8.134%, unchanged
At the Treasury bill auction dated 18 September 2017, the Central Bank of Kenya cleared the 91-day bill at 8.134% (unchanged), the 182-day bill at 10.314% (unchanged) and the 364-day bill at 10.930% (up 1 basis point).
The auction was undersubscribed: bids totalled KES 22.0bn against KES 24.0bn on offer, a subscription rate of 92%. The government accepted KES 20.7bn, or 94% of what was bid.
The 91-day paper drew the most interest relative to its size, at 103% subscribed.
Over the past year the 91-day rate has ranged from 7.696% to 8.779%.
